The Ford Mustang is a loud sports car. However, you can turn down the volume with the active exhaust system. The computerized system controls the opening and closing the valves on your exhaust system to regulate the tone that comes from the exhaust. The system not only regulates the level of exhaust sound but also allows you to schedule when and for how long each mode runs. This way, you can have the car roaring by the time you bring it home, but it will operate on the Quiet Mode when you switch it on in the morning.
There are four different modes that you can set. For mornings, set the Quiet Mode, which operates at 72 decibels. On the highway, you can set the Sport or the Track Mode. If you need a mode that takes you anywhere, set the Normal Mode, which operates at 76 decibels and is not as distracting as other models.
